It began in 1986, and a fresh-faced me has just graduated from the Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology with my dental assistant certification. I jump right into the field and work hard for a few years before deciding to level up and pursue my dream of becoming a dental hygienist. So off to the University of Alberta I went, graduating in 1992. I enjoyed my time in Edmonton with my patients but found my true home here in Olds 20 years ago. This community means so much to me. A place to raise my boys and enjoy all the sports, community events, making life long friends and feeling supported. I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming both Canadian and International College students into my home. They are now a part of my family.

I absolutely love what I do. I have so much fun helping my patients achieve their best smile. Whether it's chatting about their dental health or swapping travel stories, I'm all about building strong relationships with my patients because I understand that going to the dentist can be scary, but it doesn't have to be. I strive to make even the most anxious patients as comfortable and relaxed as possible, if that means offering a fuzzy blanket, turning the TV to your favourite program or even cracking a joke or two, I'm all for it. When I'm not busy taking care of my patients, you can usually find me hanging out with my loved ones or enjoying patios with friends. Since my boys are now young adults and on their own, I have more time for myself. I'm a sucker for beach destinations, concerts, and hoping to get back into golfing and hiking.

I look forward to serving all of you, and having the privilege of meeting your oral hygiene needs.

Now let’s get those teeth shining!

Oral health has been a passion of mine for many years. I love building relationships with my patients and providing them the quality of care they deserve.

After graduating from Dental Assisting at the age of 19, I then furthered my knowledge by acquiring both the Orthodontic Module in 2005 and the Advanced Preventative Scaling Module in 2009.

Working with children, earning their trust and listening to their stories is so rewarding. High fives and smiles fill my heart.

One of my greatest professional and personal accomplishments occurred when I was invited to teach dental hygiene in Africa on two occasions. After experiencing a new level of joy and compassion, I was inspired to give back. I founded the Rwanda Dental Dream Project in 2012, which funded one very deserving student to attend Dental School in Uganda, Africa.

He went on to become one of the first Dentists to serve his Country.

Outside of work, my family can be found at the baseball diamond, hockey arena, figure skating competitions or at different equine events. We enjoy the outdoors and finding new adventures.

I am beyond proud and excited to welcome you to our dental hygiene studio.
